Drawn from the BLKSTARUNTD personal archive, this Fabric Lux jacket is named for the handwoven Kente collar that frames the wearer like a crown. Its golden-orange, deep red, and burgundy geometry moves between checkerboard rhythm and linear bands, evoking heat, sunrise, continuity, and forward motion. This is an interpretive story inspired by the textile’s visual energy; the natural variation of the weave is part of the piece’s singular character.

Traditional woven Kente has been hand sewn onto a softly weathered denim shirt-jacket, bringing the precision and presence of Ghanaian textile craft into an easy unisex silhouette. The front carries the BLK★UNTD signature in white embroidery. Across the back, a black star outlined in white rises above a clean horizon line and YEAR OF THE STAR—an emblem of identity, possibility, and carrying culture forward.
