BALLERS CLUB - AAFL HOF PATCH TEE

A Tee of our own! This revolutionary collection is inspired by unifying all African-American Foot-Ballers (AAFL), past and present. The BLK&WHITE silhouettes signify a peaceful protest to urge for further progress and advancements that still need to be made on and off the gridiron. From 1934 to 1946, there were no black players in the NFL. Although there wasn’t an official rule against them, there was an unspoken understanding amongst the owners to not allow African-Americans into the league. A similar situation is currently happening to African-American quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. Some would say history is repeating itself in some ways or maybe it never changed.

UCLA’s running back's Kenny Washington and Woody Strode paved the way for African-American Foot-Ballers to play in the pros by breaking the color barrier in 1946 when they was drafted by the The Cleveland Rams after relocating to Los Angeles. Since then, many more Legends such as the likes of Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Dion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Walter Peyton, Emmit Smith, Odell Beckham Jr., Justin Jefferson, Patrick Mahomes and now many Ballers of African decent have also had the opportunity to grace the football field and showcase their skills and talents to the world.

We celebrate and honor these Legendary Foot-Ballers and their contribution to African-American football history, while recognizing that there is still much more work to be done to level the playing field as well as building equity in ownership.
We are definitely playing for something more; a whole new game.
